An anchor tenant has been secured for the Towne Square shopping center at the corner of Lakeview Drive and Kenilworth Boulevard in Sebring.
Cheryl Maymon, commercial broker with CAM Realty of SW Florida Inc., announced that Save-A-Lot grocery store will be locating in the space Winn-Dixie had occupied.
Maymon said she has been working with Save-A-Lot for five years trying to convince the company to put a store in the center. She told them that it is a great location and the neighborhood needed a grocery store.
Maymon said she has heard from Sebring residents who wanted to have a grocery store there again.
Maymon said she will be looking for more local tenants. She noted that a pharmacy, which she didn't want to identify, will be a tenant.
The shopping center has undergone a major exterior renovation during the past year. The facades on the building have been renewed and the roof has been repaired. There is new landscaping and lighting. The parking lot is being resurfaced.
In addition to the facelift, the center will also change names. Maymon said it will be called Kenilworth Crossing to associate it with the street.
The signage with the new name will likely be installed during the first quarter of 2011, according to Maymon.
