Did you know that the Animal Welfare Act (AWA) excludes farm animals, horses, livestock and poultry from humane care? Why? Don't these sentient beings count for anything? Don't they deserve a lifetime of caring and compassion?
Also excluded are birds, mice and rats! Aren't they warm blooded and deserve the same respect and care the (AWA) should provide?
Animals are not commodities; products of discard or inanimate objects! Non-human creatures are living, breathing, feeling beings; innocent sentience!
This must change now. We need an act of Congress to reinstate all these deserving non-humans! We need humane leaders, because if you care about animals, then maybe you care about people?
Let's be the change we wish to see in the world! Please contact your legislators and insist on a more humane change; the non-humans.
