Despite what you may hear from mainstream media or certain members of Congress, we are not political terrorists, mobsters, Nazis, haters, "astro-turfers'" well funded by a certain political group and we are not the minority. The truth is, we are ordinary American citizens.
We are Democrats, Republicans, Independents and members of other political parties, but more importantly than that, we are lovers of our country and lovers of our Constitution. We are defenders of the Bill of Rights. We are believers in fiscal responsibility, limited government and the free market. We are the majority and we will be silent no longer. We are the people we have been waiting for.
Our first event was on May 16, with a turnout of 250-300 people. Since that time we have been attending town hall meetings and tea party events in Orlando and Okeechobee. The most recent event we attended was in Lakeland on Sept. 12; the same day millions of American citizens marched on Washington, D.C. We are currently planning our next event.
