Hospice holds volunteer recruitment meetings

Good Shepherd Hospice is seeking compassionate people to volunteer with the organization. Volunteers are needed for a variety of duties including visiting with patients, supplying office help and helping with events.

Good Shepherd Hospice will hold volunteer recruitment meetings in October across the region. The meetings will help answer questions about the fulfilling work of being a Good Shepherd Hospice volunteer.

The meetings will be held on the following dates and locations:

•Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 6 p.m. in Lake Placid

•Thursday, Oct. 8 at 10 a.m. in Wauchula

•Saturday, Oct. 10 at 10 a.m. in Avon Park

•Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 11 a.m. in Avon Park

•Friday, Oct. 16 at 10 a.m. in Lake Placid

The meetings are free and will last approximately an hour and a half. Reservations are requested.
