I listen and read about all the changes needed to reduce our health care costs and offer everybody insurance.
I keep hearing about socialized medicine and how it works (be it good or bad) in Canada and the United Kingdom.
Now ask yourself these questions. 1. Are Canadian and UK hospitals owned by corporations? 2. Are corporate (for profit) insurance companies selling billions of dollars in health care and related insurance? 3. Do Canadian and UK physicians and health care workers (including nursing homes) face the malpractice issues we have in the US? 4. Do you think physicians are going to abandon practicing defensive medicine to reduce health care costs (especially in our litigious society?) and 5. Do you think our representatives such as Max Baucas, Democrat from Montana (Chairman of Senate Finance Committee); Orrin Hatch, Republican from Utah; Charles Grassley, Republican from Iowa; and Kent Conrad, Democrat from South Dakota, are going to do anything to jeopardize their millions of dollars in political contributions from the pharmaceutical industry? Now you answer the questions. Problem solved!
