I have been going to the mall on Friday nights for a long time now and this new youth escort policy is really not fair to me. I try my best to behave and not cause a disruption and am very disappointed to see that my time there will be ending.
Sebring is a very small town and we have very little to do on Friday nights. People want to ban us for things that many do not do. In all the time I have been there I have only seen one major fight. Why should we all be punished because of the actions of some?
I purchase things while I'm there and I think that taking our right to go on Friday and Saturday nights is unfair. I've never shoplifted and neither have most of my friends. My mom doesn't want to follow me around all night and most parents don't want to have to do that either. In short, just because I'm young doesn't mean I'm a bad person and I think this is age discrimination.
