It seems like a lot of people are complaining about unhealthy properties and health hazards around Highlands County, but no one seems to want to do anything to resolve the problems.
What is wrong with this picture? Code enforcement is here for a reason, to enforce the county codes, then why aren't they doing their job?
We pay our taxes and deserve to get results for our problems. We also need to stop getting the run around when we call and complain to code enforcement.
Has it gotten so bad that no one cares about this? Why do we need code enforcement if they don't do their job right?
Don't insult us by saying you don't have the manpower because there are too many people needing jobs at this time. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work in code enforcement.
People of Highlands County, we need to get back on track here.
