Unfair and not balanced

Mr. McAllister's letter of Oct. 18 berating Fox News, Limbaugh and Fox News, O'Reilly, Beck and Hannity was not "fair and balanced." He claimed to be a "news junkie" but is definitely not a "fact junkie."

He wrote Limbaugh had a drug habit; that's correct but is now in rehabilitation or rehabilitated. His addiction was due to prescribed pain killers following unsuccessful spinal surgery and this happens to people every day. He self-announced his addiction on his radio program.

Your comment about O'Reilly's co-worker's sexual harassment suit didn't mention that O'Reilly filed a shake down lawsuit against the accuser Andrea Mackris. Her allegation, for sexual phone conversation abuse, was settled out of court. Charges were dropped against each other. Miss Mackris now works for CNN and was once a White House intern. What does that tell you? With all the beautiful, intelligent women on the Fox Network why he would single out Miss Mackris is beyond me. After the O'Reilly lawsuit issue was settled, his viewing audience had a 1/3 growth and is still growing.

You mentioned Beck's name but said nothing about him. Here's a fact for you; he's a self-announced recovered alcoholic and his show has also skyrocketed off the charts. Beck, Hannity and Fox News were responsible for the tea parties and bringing down Van Jones, ACORN and is now working on the other thirty some socialist czars in the current administration.

As far as Hannity goes I can't find anything on him other than he's a staunch Republican; is that a crime? However being the news junkie that you claim to be you may not have seen any of these on your expertise news watch. Here's a clue and I will end by saying Fox Cable News ratings surpass MSNBC, CNN, HLN, news at prime time combined and it's still growing. Finally the sleeping giant is awakening, God bless America.
