The Avon Park LULAC Civil Rights Council will be holding an Avon Park City Council debate for the four candidates running for the three council positions in November.

It will be held Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 6:15 p.m. at Homer's restaurant, 1000 Sebring Square, in Sebring.

The four candidates are: Tonya Lynn Marshal, Brenda Gray, Terry Heston and Paul Miller.

There will be a panel of three LULAC members who will ask the questions. According to Patricia Austin, assistant LULAC civil rights commissioner of Central Florida, the questions will be presented by the LULAC panel only.

They will include what the candidates have to offer the city of Avon Park?

What is their plan to help the city's budget if elected?

What kind of interest in the city did the candidates have prior to this election and how involved have they been in the past?

Call Austin at 863-443-7440 for more information.
