A 16-year-old was listed in good condition at Tampa General Hospital Wednesday after running his car into the back of a garbage truck on Tuesday.
Mihir Patel was airlifted from the Sebring Parkway following the accident Tuesday, which happened just after 8 a.m. near Cleveland Road.
Patel was having a hard time seeing because of the sun in his eyes and early-morning fog, according to Sebring Police Cmdr. Steve Carr.
The teen did not see the garbage truck and ran his 2007 Ford Mustang into the back of it, causing $15,000 in damage to the car.
