Highlands Social Dance Club to host the Stardusters

SEBRING - The Highlands Social Dance Club hosts ballroom dancing today from 7 - 9:30 p.m. at the Sebring Lions Club on Sebring Parkway.

Music will be provided by the Stardusters.

All club dances are open to the public. Appropriate dress is required.

Admission is $5 for members and $7 for non-members.

Extra performance scheduled for 'Fiddler on the Roof'

SEBRING - An extra matinee performance of "Fiddler on the Roof" has been added on Saturday, Nov. 21 at Highlands Little Theatre. The doors will open at 1 p.m. and the show will start at 2. Tickets are $15 each.

There will be a show tonight at 8 and a performance at 8 p.m. Nov. 21.

The final show will be at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 22.

Dance planned at Sebring Village

SEBRING - Sebring Village is hosting a dance from 7:30 - 10:30 p.m. Nov. 21. in the clubhouse, which is located one mile behind Walmart off Schumacher Road.

The cost is $3.50 for members and $5 for nonmembers.

Craft Fair and Quilt Show slated

AVON PARK - The Highlands Ridge South Craft Fair and Quilt Show will be held at 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Nov. 21 Founders Hall, 3003 E. Fairway Vista Drive, in Avon Park.

Movies scheduled at local libraries

SEBRING - Free movies will be shown at Highlands County public libraries Nov. 21. They begin at 2 p.m.

The schedule includes: "The Wizard of Oz" at Sebring, 319 W. Center Ave.; "The Day of the Jackal" at Avon Park, 100 N. Museum Ave.; "Take the Lead" at Lake Placid, 205 W. Interlake Blvd.

Lake Placid Memorial Library to begin free concert series

LAKE PLACID - The Friends of the Lake Placid Memorial Library will present the Woodhaven Music Makers as their first free concert of the season.

The Woodhaven Music Makers are a German band playing polkas, waltzes and marches.

The concert begins at 2 p.m., Nov. 22 at the Lake Placid Memorial Library located at 205 W. Interlake Blvd. Weather permitting, the concert will be held outdoors in Marie's Garden behind the library, if not, it will be inside the library.

Light refreshments will be served. Seats are limited.
