AP Council to hold special meeting

AVON PARK --

The Avon Park City Council has scheduled a special meeting at 4 p.m. today at the council chambers.

Council members will decide on the interim city manager. Sarah Adelt gave her notice of resignation last Thursday to take on a position as city clerk of Frostproof in Polk County. The interim city manager would take the position until a permanent replacement is hired.

Adelt's last working day is the next council meeting on Nov. 23. She is will begin her new position on Dec. 2.
