The following people were booked Tuesday, Nov. 3 into the Highlands County Jail:

Larson Montgomery Burgess, 19, of 277 W. Lake Damon Drive, Avon Park, on charges of possession of liquor by a person under 21 years of age, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, first offense, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and smuggling contraband into a detention facility.

Lesman Anthony Chavarria, 25, of Miami, on warrants charging conspiracy to traffic in marijuana in excess of 25 pounds and conspiracy to commit racketeering.

Edward Earl Ferrell, 48, of Avon Park, on charges of burglary of an occupied dwelling while unarmed and battery on a person 65 years of age or older.

Donald Paul Johnson, 68, of Clearwater, on warrants charging violation of probation in reference to sexual misconduct by a psychotherapist and indecent assault on a child under 16.

Tory Lavonne Rivers, 33, of 4709 High Ave., Sebring, on warrants charging violation of probation in reference to driving while license is suspended or revoked.

Steven Michael Smith, 23, of Bowling Green, on a warrant charging grand theft of $300 or more but less than $5,000.
