Bravo Battery toy drive to begin

»  Comments | Post a Comment

The Family Readiness Group for the local Bravo Battery National Guard unit in Avon Park is launching its second annual toy drive for the upcoming Christmas holiday.

Last year's drive was successful and the group is hoping to have another great year of donations. As a small thank you to those serving in the military, the group will be providing a small Christmas party for approximately 40 children this year, ranging in ages from 1 to 17 and their families during their December drill.

Last year's Christmas program was sponsored by a Springfield College class project, Touched by Angels, organized by Amy Berrong and Debbie Wiggins.

Monetary and toy donations can be dropped off at the National Guard Armory on U.S. 27 South in Avon Park from Nov. 4 through Nov. 31.

Call Debbie Wiggins at 863-443-9262 for more information.
