The following people were booked Thursday, May 28 into the Highlands County Jail:

Victor Hernandez Hernandez, 27, of 349 N. Verona Ave., Avon Park, was committed and sentenced to 20 days in jail for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.

Michael Patrick Keaveny, 54, of 3533 Green Acre Way, Sebring, was recommitted and sentenced to 30 days in jail for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, second offense.

Fabian Zumaya Rivera, 38, of 2683 W. Taunton Road, Avon Park, was committed and sentenced to 30 days in jail for attaching an unassigned license plate.

Beatriz Rodriguez, 18, of 3708 Hoyt Ave., Sebring, on a charge of grand theft of $300 or more but less than $5,000.
