Bottle wielding thief steals cash

SEBRING --

A thief armed with a bottle knocked a Spanish-speaking man to the ground last night and stole his wallet containing an unknown amount of cash, according to Sgt. Andrew Markham, from the Sebring Police department.

The robbery took place near the L&M Food Store. Deputies with a K9 tracker were unsuccessful in a search for the thief. It was unknown as of press time whether the victim sustained any injuries. No names were available.

Cpl. Mike Cutolo was in charge of the scene.
