Police Blotter

The following people were booked Wednesday, March 25 into the Highlands County Jail:

Mario Manuel Vazquez Diaz, 27, of Wauchula, was committed and sentenced to 30 days in jail for knowingly driving while license is suspended or revoked.

Demarkus Hicks, 18, of 1935 N. Cardinal Road, Avon Park, was committed from court and sentenced to one day in jail from resisting an officer without violence and loitering or prowling.

Sherry Lynn Hunter, 46, of 4144 Bianca St., Sebring, on a warrant charging violation of probation in reference to forgery of a check.

Willie Lee Jones, 56, of 105 E. Wolf St., Avon Park, was sentenced to 4 days in jail for failure to appear on a charge of possession of cocaine.

Rachel Marie Kooi, 23, of 110 Cody Way, Sebring, on charges of battery and burglary of an occupied dwelling while unarmed and a warrantless violation of probation in reference to burglary of an unoccupied structure or conveyance.

Tamika Iris Moodie, 25, of 510 W. Circle St., Avon Park, was sentenced to 28 days in jail for failure to appear on a charge of petty theft.

Marissa Crystal Pena, 24, of Port St. Lucie, on warrants charging failure to appear on charges of possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Stephen Ross Richards, 48, of Sebring, on charges of obstructing justice by intimidating or threatening a witness, kidnapping and battery and a warrantless violation of probation in reference to trafficking in methamphetamine.

Marcial Rios, 23, of 72 Lakeview St., Lake Placid, on a charge of vehicular theft.
