AVON PARK - The 30th annual Springtime on the Mall will be held in downtown Avon Park today from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and March 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

SEBRING - "Thoroughly Modern Millie" will open tonight at the Highlands Little Theatre in Sebring. Curtain time is 8 p.m.

SEBRING - BackStage Pass will be at the Watering Hole on U.S. 27 in Sebring tonight and March 28 from 9:30 till 1:45 a.m.

Skylarks To Play At Social Dance Club

SEBRING - The Highlands Social Dance Club will host ballroom dancing from 7 - 9:30 tonight at the Sebring Lions Club on Sebring Parkway.

The music will be provided by the Skylarks.

Free ballroom dance instruction is available at 6:30 p.m.

All club dances are open to the public. Appropriate dress is required.

Admission is $5 for members and $7 for nonmembers.

Orchid Show Set In Sebring

SEBRING - The "Wonderful World of Orchids" show at the Bert J. Harris Jr. Agricultural Center off U.S. 27 South in Sebring this weekend.

Anyone interested in orchids or curious about the beautiful plants is welcome to attend the show, which runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 28 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on March 29.

There is a nominal admission charge to help the Orchid Society of Highlands County cover building rental and other expenses.

Libraries To Show Free Movies

SEBRING - The Avon Park, Lake Placid and Sebring libraries will show free movies March 28. All three will begin at 2 p.m.

The lineup includes: "Little Shop of Horrors" at Avon Park, "Walk the Line" at Lake Placid and "The Secret Life of Bees" at Sebring.
