Party Of 'No'

Ye Gads! Great Scott! Great Jehosafat! They never stop! It was devastating enough that corporate CEOs succeeded in achieving the standard of minimum wages for American workers while they "earned" billion dollar profits through outsourcing. It was devastating enough that they, Wall Street, bankers and mortgage companies, nearly destroyed our economic system through criminal skullduggery.

It is even more outrageous that they managed to manipulate clauses to protect bonuses for criminal actions, failed performance and secrecy. They continue to dismiss what occurred before January 2009 and continue to harp on the "excesses" of the Obama administration, even while they failed to pay taxes in excess of $200 million which should automatically nullify any "legal" right to bonuses which reward obscene failure. Yes they had contracts. (Wait! Didn't the auto workers have pension contracts? Didn't help! Didn't federal laws insure pensions for millions of workers only to see them disappear? Corporate raiders and Enron, etc.) And AIG wants to retain those who created this "black hole" of a disaster?

Not only do working people earn less; prices have steadily increased. Now corporations have added fees for unemployment benefits! This makes Scrooge look like a piker! What words can describe this egregious policy? Since they are supported by the Christian Coalition, "mortal sin" would not be adequate. Even "sacrilege" seems a poor choice. Christ throwing the money changers out of the temple comes to mind; sadly, He is not here. They never stop - inveterate.

There are those who fault me for blaming President Bush II for this catastrophe, but they did not question the charges made, which evidence abundantly verifies. Evidence keeps piling up that 90 percent occurred before 2009.

The Republicans claim to want smaller government and fewer taxes. They were the government for eight years. President Clinton and Vice President Gore actually reduced government and created a surplus. Republicans increased government and created a $5 trillion deficit. Today they obstruct President Obama's effort to stem the damage and right the ship of state. The party of "No." They just never stop.
