South Florida Community College's Museum of Florida Art and Culture (MOFAC) presents Christopher M. Still: Bringing Florida Archeology to Life, today, 1-2:30 p.m., Building G, Room 101, Highlands campus.
Florida heritage artist Christopher M. Still will discuss his paintings and the stories they tell about the places he paints, including the history, geology, and archaeology. He will also discuss his research with Florida historians, biologists, and archaeologists. The program is co-sponsored by the Trail of Florida's Indian Heritage and the Florida Humanities Council. SFCC MOFAC will have eight reproductions of murals from this series also on view.
This program is free to the public; however, tickets are required to attend. Free tickets can be picked up at SFCC MOFAC, Wednesday-Friday, 12:30-4:30 p.m. or at the SFCC Box Office, Monday-Friday, 11:30-2:30 p.m.
SFCC MOFAC is open to the public Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 12:30-4:30 p.m., one hour prior to each Artist and Matinee series performance, and by appointment for group tours.
