Sometimes, a great idea takes just the right people to pull it off.
When the staff at Florida Home Health and Dr. T. C. Lackey II, D.O., decided we wanted to host a tennis tournament to help raise money for the Good Shepherd Hospice House, we never imagined the outpouring of support we would receive.
We would like to take a moment to thank the individuals who gave their monies, time, effort and goodwill to make our first tournament a success.
The Snow Bird Fly Away Tennis Tournament held Saturday, March 14 and Sunday, March 15 at the Thakkar Tennis Center at the Country Club of Sebring was a huge success due to the efforts of Bobby Fulcher of the Caddy shack restaurant, Mikey Byrd, Janet Howland, Larry Lillard and Laurie Wohlers.
A special thank you goes out to the Highlands County Tennis Association as well for all of their support. We hope that the tennis community enjoyed the tournament and will look for us in the same place, some time next year.
