Mr Lensis's letter defended Limbaugh's comment that he wants Obama to fail. I'm sorry Mr. Lensis, but no matter how you twist it, how you "rephrase" it, or how people wiggle it around, we all know what Rush said and what he meant. He wanted Obama's policies to fail - which can only mean that the U.S. would go into a depression!
And contrary to what you said - I have listened to Rush. I first started listening years ago when he first hit the air waves. Being analytical in nature and a talk radio/news junkie it didn't take long before I noticed that Rush was not quite telling the whole story on many things.
He routinely takes statements out of context to push his radical right-wing spin on things. The last straw for me was one lunch hour, on the noon day TV news, I watched a fellow make a statement about something in an interview. Less than an hour later, I heard Rush "quote" this same fellow. Rush left about half the fellow's statement out, which changed the whole meaning. I realized at that point I was being "conned" by Rush.
What good is the information if it's not truthful? Rush's broadcasts are misleading and dishonest but apparently some people want to be misled. I believe my father summed it up best when, years ago, he started referring to this entertainer as "Rush Slimbaugh!"
