I would like to offer a public thank you to The Heartland Association of Realtors for their sponsorship of the Relay For Life Fashion Show.
I am a twice cancer survivor and I participated in the event as a model.
I had an opportunity to befriend others who have walked in my shoes.
We laughed, cried, celebrated life and remembered those who lost their battle with cancer. Some were going through follow-up screenings and needed the emotional support.
A personal thank you to the hairdressers, makeup artists, fashion coordinators , Dillard's, Dress Barn and many others who volunteered their time to make us beautiful.
All of the effort put forth was to raise cancer awareness and money to put an end to this disease.
Cancer is not a death sentence; many of us are still here and we continue to fight.
