The following people were booked Wednesday, March 4 into the Highlands County Jail:

Walter Anochin, 39, of 543 Violet Ave., Sebring, on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and purchasing a barbiturate.

Alphonse Pernell Brackins, 26, of 504 Sportsman Ave., Sebring, was recommitted and sentenced to 30 days in jail for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI), first offense.

Harold Ralph Browning, 51, of 1535 Chatsworth St., Lake Placid, was recommitted and sentenced to 30 days in jail for DUI and damaging property.

Diane Lynn Knust, 34, of 1695 Pardee Sub Road, Avon Park, on charges of selling schedule III or IV drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Todd Bernard Packer, 48, of 322 E. Hal McRae Blvd., Avon Park, was recommitted and sentenced to 30 days in jail for resisting an officer without violence and driving while license is suspended, first offense.
