Rapturism?

»  Comments | Post a Comment

In response to the Dale Gillis letter on his belief about Christians and the Rapture, I would like make a few points on his opinion.

First, he states Christians who believe in pre-trib Rapture know little about Bible interpretation. Well that proves Dale Gillis is no biblical scholar. Christians do not base their belief on "the secrets of Enoch," they base their belief on the word of God and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We believe the Bible is His infallible Word and a true Christian can read a red letter edition of the Bible and agree and believe every word of Jesus himself.

Second, he states no teaching on pre-trib Rapture before 1950. How about the early 1700s in Protestant churches? May I suggest a little deeper research than a Gospel tract?

Third, he accuses conservative Christians of adding to the Bible with their belief. I suggest he read 1st. Corinthians 15:52 and 1st. Thessalonians 4:17 to name a few.

Christ explains in John chapter 3 that God is pure Spirit, and His Word is spiritual. You must be born of the Spirit to understand it. So can we assume Dale Gillis can discern God's word? I am a Christian who believes in a pre-trib Rapture, not a Rapturist.
