A Highlands County jury returned a not guilty verdict June 9 for a Lake Placid man charged with felony fleeing/eluding a law enforcement officer.
Gregory Alan Carlton, 46, was stopped by law enforcement on Aug. 15, 2008 and charged with fleeing, improper display/obscured tag and resisting an officer without violence.
The improper display charge was dismissed and the resisting charge was nolle prossed, or dropped by the prosecution, according to court records.
