The manufactured housing complex Tanglewood has been sold to Hometown America, according to a press release from Bruce Ortberg, editor of the community newspaper Resident Times.
The name will be changed to read, "Tanglewood, a Providence Community by Hometown America."
"Most employees will remain," Ortberg wrote, "as will the lifestyle that residents are accustomed to enjoying.
The 350-acre complex with 1,245 homesites between Sebring and Avon Park was built by John Greytak.
The new staff was introduced to the residents by regional vice president Eric Zimmerman and regional manager Jenny Shawver.
A letter from Zimmerman said Hometown America is a privately held manufactured home community operator headquartered in Chicago.
The company, which also sells manufactured homes, owns 129 communities in 20 states with more than 55,000 homesites. In Florida, it owns 37 communities for seniors and 13 communities for residents of any age.
