I found Randy Ludacer's letter vilifying our Southern heritage particularly distasteful and full of the kind of politically correct hatred that today is poisoning our traditional values. Southern heritage is as much about love of our families and our God as it is about displaying the Stars and Bars as a reminder of that heritage.
What Mr. Ludacer fails to point out is that members of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, similar to the Sons of the Revolutionary War Veterans, have fought and died in all the other wars and battles he finds more deserving of re-enactment.
I for one would not want to re-enact my Vietnam experiences. I also doubt that President Truman from Missouri, who was a member of the "Sons of the Confederate Veterans," would care to re-enact his World War II experience. Somehow I doubt that Mr. Ludacer has any experience regarding wars or battles, as veterans tend not to run their mouth about such matters.
