The following people were booked Monday, Jan. 26 into the Highlands County Jail:

Jason Richard Boone, 30, of Haines City, was sentenced to eight months in jail for burglary of an unoccupied dwelling while unarmed, burglary of an unoccupied conveyance while unarmed and vehicular theft.

Carlos Julio Gonzalez, 62, of 1630 Wellington Drive, Sebring, on a charge of battery of an officer.

Michel Hernandez, 33, of St. Lucie, was sentenced to three years in prison for theft of over $300 but less than $5,000.

Amado Ramon Rivero, 52, of Miami, was sentenced to 354 days in jail for possession of marijuana and theft of $20,000 but less than $100,000.

Jo Ann Skipper Hancock, 47, of 2180 U.S. 27 N., Avon Park, was sentenced to 364 days for driving while license is suspended or revoked, habitual offender.
