I can just see it now, an extravaganza President Barack Obama, accompanied by Mrs. Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Barney Frank in the opening chorus of "Hail, hail, the gang's all here," special arrangement by the Democratic Congress singing "Happy days are here again!"
President Obama will give a short talk titled, "How to spend your way to wealth and happiness."
I believe we must give President Obama a fair chance to unravel the mess we are in, not of his doing, and if Congress will just keep their hands out of it, this recession will just be another bump in the road.
The market will square itself away by supply and demand. I am not an economist by any stretch of the imagination, but at age 86 I have seen us go through a Depression, wars, assassinations and any number of recessions; we have always persevered and managed to keep the ship of state on an even keel. So hang in there America and with hard work and faith in each other, with some perseverance, we will be okay. Some day our grandchildren will look back and say, "Ah! They were the good old days."
