WANTED IN HIGHLANDS COUNTY

The following people were being sought by the Highlands County Sheriff's Office on active warrants as of Thursday, Jan. 22.

Nicholas Lopez-Hernandez, 20, of 1217 Sten-E-Wa-Hee Ave., Sebring, on a charge of failure to appear on charges of leaving the scene of an accident and driving with no valid driver's license.

James Walden Meredith, 41, of 8210 W. Josephine Road, Lake Placid, on a charge of contempt of court charging violation of injunction for protection against domestic violence.

Anita Louise Pearson, 46, also known as Anita Louise Butler, Anita Louise Manzo and Anita Louise Hogue, of 3121 Sonnett Road, Sebring, on a charge of violation of probation charging contempt of court.

Thomas Guy Smith, 56, of 903 E. Oak Island Road, Avon Park, on a charge of failure to appear for knowingly driving while driver's license is suspended or revoked.
