Today I received a letter from someone who calls herself Abbie. I believe this is the second letter I've gotten from the mysterious Abbie. I suppose Abbie was upset about something I wrote to the Editor. At any rate, Abbie didn't bother to give me her return address; perhaps she had not the courage to do so. Turning to the phone directory I could find no such person listed. As someone said long ago, "I don't believe there is such a person."
In her letter to me, Abbie equates "conservatism" to a cancer that must be excised. Whether she believes it or not, conservatism and big business are what built this country. It was certainly not liberalism!
Abbie's heroes are liberalism, unions, the homosexual agenda, illegal immigrants, abortion and more leftist causes that one can name. That our factories no longer produce anything is the fact that we have no factories that produce the things that we need. Just try to find anything made in this country! It is virtually impossible, due to the insatiable demands of, unions!
And so Abbie, should I have the misfortune to hear from you again, enclose the address of the asylum where you reside; perhaps I'll send you a "get well" card. Better still, take the 42 cents you spent on a stamp and mail it to the UAW, after all, they only make $75 an hour.
Should you try to recruit me to your causes in the future Abbie, it isn't going to happen! In the meantime, I relegate your "poison pen" letter to the "circular file," a fitting place for it.
