The following people were booked Friday, Jan. 2 through Sunday Jan. 4 into the Highlands County Jail:

James Stephen Bone, 27, of Fort Meade, on charges of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Walter Lee Cook, 40, of 2150 U.S. 27 N., Avon Park, on warrants charging grand theft of a motor vehicle and dealing in stolen property.

Charles Thomas Dennard, 54, of 454 Park Place, Sebring, on a Polk County warrant charging knowingly driving while driver's license is suspended or revoked.

Joe Drayton, 67, of 119 McGahee Ave., Lake Placid, on a warrant charging violation of probation in reference to selling, manufacturing or delivering cocaine and two bond-off-bond recommits for selling cocaine and possession of cocaine.

Edward Bernard Hammond, 52, of Sarasota, on a Sarasota County warrant charging failure to appear in reference to charges of fraud and false statement to obtain unemployment compensation.

James Knox, 56, of 2116 Wolfe Creek Road, Sebring, on charges of production of marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Gernold Anthony Lagree, 31, of 1311 Citrus Ave., Sebring, on a warrant charging violation of probation in reference to grand theft.

Scott Michael McCallister, 35, of Middleburg, on warrants charging failure to appear for arraignment in reference to charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cocaine.

George Charles Nickerson, 61, of 4700 U.S. 27 S, Sebring, on charges of possession of cocaine and possession of narcotics equipment.

Omar J. Rushing, 21, of 814 S. Cherokee Ave., Avon Park, on charges of possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting an officer without violence.

Christopher Lee Santiago, 23, of 1801 Kent Road, Sebring, on warrants charging violation of probation in reference to shooting or throwing a missile into a dwelling, vehicle, building or aircraft and grand theft.

Britani Margarite Stephenson, 22, of 908 Franklin St., Sebring, on warrants charging violation of probation in reference to possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.

Nicholas James Vought, 26, of 2118 Wolf Creek Road, Sebring, on production of marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Dolen Craig Wilson, 23, of 703 W. State St., Avon Park, on warrants charging violation of probation in reference to three counts of burglary of a dwelling/occupied conveyance, two counts of grand theft over $300, two counts of trafficking in stolen property, three counts of burglary of a structure, three counts of grand theft, one count of burglary of a conveyance, one count of burglary, one count of burglary of a dwelling, one count of dealing in stolen property and one count of grand theft of a firearm.

The following people were booked Monday, Jan. 5 into the Highlands County Jail:

Kyle Matthew Arjona, 22, of 1507 LaGrange Ave., Sebring, was recommitted for one year and one day for two counts of vehicular grand theft, two counts of burglary of a structure or conveyance unarmed without persons inside, two counts of dealing in stolen property and one count of burglary of a dwelling while unarmed.

Demetrie Antoine Moore, 24, of Gainesville, on a charge of driving while license is suspended, habitual offender.

Maria Denise Nelson, 22, of 4608 Perch Road, Sebring, was recommitted for 90 days for violation of probation in reference to five counts of issuing/obtaining property with a worthless check.

Marcus Antoine Packer, 28, of Margate, was sentenced to six months in jail for driving while license is suspended, habitual offender.

Stephen Ross Richards, 48, of Sebring, on a charge of battery and a warrant-less violation of probation in reference to trafficking in methamphetamine.

Melinda Lee Strange, 44, of 440 W. Gobourne St., Avon Park, was sentenced to 120 days in jail for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, second offense.

Albert Cheaviler Wilson, 21, of 149 E. A Smith Ave., Lake Placid, on a Lake County warrant charging knowingly driving while license is suspended or revoked.
