Art League Hosts First Friday

SEBRING - The Highlands Art League will host First Friday today.

There will be a reception from 5 to 8 p.m. Hors d'oeuvres and beverages will be served.

The public is invited to attend and there is no admission charge.

Each HAL instructor will have art displayed in the Yellow House.

There will be live demonstrations by the instructors and their students throughout the evening in the Visual Arts Center.

The Yellow House and the Visual Arts Center are located in The Village Where Art Lives, located at 1989 Lakeview Drive, in Sebring.

Skylarks To Play At Dance Club

SEBRING - The Highlands Social Dance Club will host ballroom dancing tonight from 7 - 9:30 at the Sebring Lions Club on Sebring Parkway.

Music will be provided by The Skylarks.

Free ballroom dancing instruction is available at 6:30 p.m.

All club dances are open to the public. Appropriate dress is required.

Admission is $5 for members and $7 for nonmembers.

Movie To Be Shown At LP Library

LAKE PLACID - The movie "Kung Fu Panda" will be shown at 2 p.m. Jan. 3 at Lake Placid Memorial Library, 205 W. Interlake Blvd.

There is no admission charge. Popcorn and lemonade are also free.

New Dawn Singers To Perform At Tanglewood

SEBRING - The New Dawn Singers will perform in the Tanglewood Winter Concert Series at 7 p.m. Jan. 4. The doors and the snack bar open at 6:15.

The New Dawn Singers is a traveling group of college-age people who have toured throughout North America and Jamaica.
