A local man was sentenced to two life sentences Monday after previously being found guilty of two counts of sexual battery on a person less than 12 years of age.
The sentences for Charles G. Towe, 46, will be life without parole, according to Assistant State Attorney Steve Houchin. Both sentences will run concurrently, or at the same time.
Towe was also designated a sexual predator by the court. An appeal has been filed in the case.
He was found guilty in reference to an incident that happened between Nov. 1 and Nov. 21, 2007, where he did "unlawfully commit sexual battery upon, or injure the sexual organs during an attempt to commit sexual battery upon a person less than 12 years of age," court documents stated.
