In response to Edgar R. Cronin's worry over The Freedom of Choice Act: First, I find it offensive that on more occasions than not, it is a man who is against a woman's right to choice. I would suggest to Edgar and men like him that his message of life be better fought against humans (mostly men) already alive who fight wars and kill if he wants to save life and families.
There is no comparison between the amount of human life lost by mostly male soldiers and warriors in the name of peace to women who have the desire or need to not add to the world's human count for whatever the reason.
The government does not force men to fight, kill, or maim and yet look how many choose to do so, instead of finding a non-violent way to achieve peace for all human beings in the world. I feel, Edgar, that until you can find a way to keep your own gender from killing off already born human beings on the planet, you shouldn't have a say in what I as a woman choose to do with my body before life is born.
I've never really considered myself pro-choice or pro-life until I see men killing other human beings and attempt to justify it in the name of peace, then attempt to, without controlling their own bodies and actions, want to tell me how to control mine.
Have you ever raised a hand against another human to hurt, kill or maim? I can attest to the fact I've not and have always found non-violent way. If I and all other women started protesting against governments' (over 90 percent men) use of force against human beings in war and in any life situation, what rights do you think all men would lose in the country? I think it would be their freedom just as they are trying to take woman's freedoms away from them. I think you are in error Mr. Cronin in thinking a large majority of Americans desire to take away anyone's rights.
