The following people were booked Tuesday, Feb. 17 into the Highlands County Jail:

Donald Black, 30, of 1107 Melody Lane, Sebring, on a charge of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud.

Tomas Montalvo Castillo, 25, of Wauchula, was recommitted and sentenced to 90 days in jail for driving while license is suspended or revoked, habitual offender.

John Cleveland Clement, 50, of 852 Durmon Ave., Lake Placid, on a warrant charging grand theft of $300 or more.

Rageive Chris Heaven, 24, of 1200 W. Stratford St., Avon Park, was recommitted and sentenced to 90 days in jail for petty theft.

Quentin Leevon Howard, 21, of 310 Gale St., Avon Park, was recommitted and sentenced to 60 days in jail for possession of marijuana and smuggling contraband into a detention facility.

Lawrence Douglas Ijames, 48, of 417 Lime St., Sebring, was sentenced to 90 days in jail for driving while license is suspended or revoked.

Lazarus Kinsey, 27, of 118 Montego Drive, Sebring, was recommitted and sentenced to 45 days in jail for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sheryl Denise Moore, 44, of 309 Sparrow Ave., Sebring, was recommitted and sentenced to five days in jail for petty theft (prior conviction).

German Octavio Rivera, 49, of 341 S. U.S. 27 Sebring, was recommitted and sentenced to 180 days in jail for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI), second offense.

Pedro Baes Rivera, 48, of 4518 Whiting Drive, Sebring, was recommitted and sentenced to one day in jail for delivering, possessing or selling an altered firearm.

Adrian Demetrius Robinson, 22, of Melrose Drive, Avon Park, on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without the intent to kill.

Jose Luis Santiago, 44, of 4518 Whiting Drive, Sebring, was recommitted and sentenced to one day in jail for delivering, possessing or selling an altered firearm.

Rickie Glen Tomblin, 51, of 6007 Golden Road, Sebring, was recommitted and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 20 days suspended upon completion of probation, for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, first offense.

Jeffrey Stephen Winters, 36, of 1076 Lake Carrie Drive, Lake Placid, on charges obtaining a controlled substance by fraud and passing a forged/altered prescription.

The following people were booked Wednesday, Feb. 18 into the Highlands County Jail:

Lawrence Edward Brewer, 32, of Bartow, was recommitted and sentenced to 30 days in jail for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol (DUI) and damaging property.

Howard Phillips Brown, 20, of 1143 Booker St., Sebring, was recommitted and sentenced to 10 days in jail for petty theft.

Teresa Montallana Butruch, 43, of Sebring, on a warrant charging cruelty toward a child/aggravated child abuse.

Eli Caban, 27, of 2500 Monza Drive, Sebring, was recommitted and sentenced to 30 days in jail for battery.

Shane Carlton, 22, of Dania Beach, on a warrant charging violation of probation in reference to possession of marijuana with the intent to sell/deliver.

April Denise Hunt, 38, of Zolfo Springs, was recommitted and sentenced to 30 days of community maintenance for petty theft.

Linda Denise Stevenson, 36, of 1426 Sunkist Ave., Sebring, was recommitted and sentenced to 30 days for driving while license is suspended, second offense, and failure to register a motor vehicle.

Yoel Suarez Suarez, 34, of Miami, on a warrant charging violation of probation in reference to trafficking marijuana.

Kermit Wayne Wood, 55, of 5301 Lime Road, Sebring, was recommitted and sentenced to 90 days in jail for driving while license is suspended or revoked.
