The following people were booked Monday, Feb. 16 into the Highlands County Jail:

Ronald Eugene Boyce, 18, of 1710 Buck St., Lake Placid, was recommitted and sentenced to 30 days in jail for resisting an officer without violence.

David Jason Ellis, 35, on charges of resisting an officer without violence, cruelty toward a child, driving while license is suspended, first offense, and aggravated stalking.

Anna Kathleen Foley, 47, of 5010 Starfish Ave., Sebring, was recommitted and sentenced to 30 days in jail for petty theft.

Javier Garcia, 21, of 310 Flamingo St., Lake Placid, was recommitted and sentenced to 30 days in jail for knowingly driving while license is suspended or revoked.

Norris Patrick Glover, 35, of 20 Henscratch Road, Lake Placid, was sentenced to six months in jail for driving while license is suspended, second offense.

Walner Josue, 40, of Avon Park, on charges of obstructing justice and battery.

Star Mae Salisbury, 25, of Okeechobee, on a charge of theft of $300 or more.

Jackson Payne Sloan, 19, of 1110 Melody Lane, Sebring, on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, distribution of marijuana, theft of $300 or more and violation of probation in reference to burglary of a structure or conveyance while armed.

Phillip Brian Theobald, 43, of 517 Blossom Drive, Sebring, on a charge of refusing to submit to a driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol (DUI) test, warrants charging failure to appear in reference to driving while license is suspended or revoked and non-support and was recommitted and sentenced to 364 days in jail for DUI, third violation, and driving while license is suspended, habitual offender.

Demorris Lamar Washington, 21, of 2803 Pompino Drive, Sebring, on warrants charging felony fleeing/eluding police and resisting an officer without violence.
