Open Letter To Obama

As an early childhood educator, I cannot understand the reasoning behind this misleading slogan "No Child Left Behind."

Our toddlers have been left out completely by this unfounded legislation. The education of a child begins at conception. We must find a way to send all our kids to early childhood education.

It is an undeniable fact that a child who goes to school early is a better student and strives easily to success in life. The one who does not go or cannot afford to go becomes dropout material.

I beg you, President Obama, to fulfill your campaign promise and institute throughout America, a program of universal pre-school, benefiting needy families, and prepare all of our children for the challenges of the 21st century.
