The following people were booked Wednesday, Feb. 11 through Thursday, Feb. 12 into the Highlands County Jail:

Thomas Albert Brown, 57, of 109 Anderson St., Lake Placid, on charges of possession of a weapon or ammo by a convicted felon and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Michael Christopher McLaughlin, 37, of 2032 Avalin Road, Sebring, on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, battery, smuggling contraband into a detention facility and possession of marijuana.

Deborah Del Brown, 48, of 3 Gary Ave., Lake Placid, on charges of possession of cocaine and petty theft.

Joseph Oscar Matthew Haggins, 21, of Sebring, on a charge of aggravated battery.

Jody Pauley, 43, of 2323 Brunns Road, Avon Park, was recommitted and sentenced to 60 days in jail for giving a false name/ID to a law enforcement officer and petty theft.

Deron Nevon Lechaz Scurry, 25, of 201 Martin Luther King Blvd., Sebring, was sentenced to 20 days for resisting an officer without violence.

Elizabeth Torres, 18, of 2960 N. Monroe Road, on a charge of retail theft of $300 or more, first offense.
