Real Stimulus

I have an idea for a way to really stimulate the economy.

The government should give every US citizen over the age of 21, who owns or rents a home, a check for $50,000.

Now, before you call me crazy, hear me out. There are three stipulations 1. You must make less than $100,000 yearly, 2. You must open a new bank account with the money, and 3. You must spend at least half of it in 90 days.

Think about it, think of all the things you could do and still get to keep half of it to offset your retirement losses. You could pay off debts, buy a car, appliances, etc.

You get the idea; it will pump "our" money into the economy. This idea would be way cheaper than the $900,000 for the banks, Fannie, Freddie, Bernie, whoever!

This would actually put the money in the hands of the people who really need it, us. Sure, there may have to be some minor tweaks, but think about it, real stimulus !
