Avon Park's James Bland, Kemosi Hatten, Jace Grimmett, Omar Torres, Charles Hubbard and Alvin Moore won individual district titles on Thursday night and the Red Devil wrestling team won the program's first-ever district championship with a dominating performance at the Class 1A-District 8 meet at Lake Wales High School.

Avon Park sent 10 wrestlers to regionals and scored 184 points, nearly 50 ahead of second-place finisher Harmony (138.5).

Sebring, meanwhile, saw Dustin Drummond and Mike Hutchinson each win individual honors while the Blue Streaks sent four wrestlers to next week's regional meet, which will be held Feb. 13-14 at Matanzas High School in Palm Coast.
