Police blotter

The following people were booked Wednesday, Dec. 23 through Sunday, Dec. 27 into the Highlands County Jail:

Genie Lynn Carr, 35, of 9100 Spur Path, Sebring, on charges of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Patricia Lyndell Chandler, 30, of Avon Park, on warrants charging aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, battery that causes bodily harm, forgery or altering a public record certificate, petty theft, theft of a credit card, illegal use of credit cards and passing a forged or altered instrument.

Deshone Shanny Coleman, 43, of 108 Aaron Drive, Lake Placid, on a charge of petty theft, third or subsequent offense.

Natasha Levale Curry, 38, of 125 Taylor St., Lake Placid, on a charge of violation of probation in reference to public assistance fraud (misrepresentation).

Otis Lee Downs, 39, of 714 E.O. Douglas St., Sebring, on charges of possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Luis Beitran Hernandez, 23, of 210 Mango St., Sebring, on charges of burglary of a dwelling, structure or conveyance, battery and giving false information to a law enforcement officer regarding a missing person.

Richard Lee Hunter, 45, of 1004 Hammock Road, Sebring, on a charge of cruelty toward a child without great harm.

Curtis Lee Johnson, 26, of 1508 Tanglewood Circle, Sebring, on charges of possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while license is suspended, first offense.

Cheryl Ann Layton, 48, of 567 Rose Ave., Sebring, on a warrant charging scheming to defraud by obtaining property under $20,000.

Connie Susan Lofquist, 44, of 1770 N. Torrington Road, Avon Park, on a warrant charging battery on a person 65 years of age or older.

Misty Lee Lorenz, 44, on charges of aggravated battery where the offender knew/should have known the victim was pregnant and battery.

Jacques Lorrison, 58, of 104 E. Cornell St., Avon Park, on a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Angelina Belen Rodriguez, 19, of Sebring, on warrants charging giving false information to law enforcement during an investigation and neglect of a child.

Robert Lee Shepard, 60, of Sebring, on a charge of kidnapping/false imprisonment.

Debra Jean Stephens, 57, of 120 S. U.S. 27, Avon Park, on charges of possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Joshua Owen Wright, 27, of 10235 Orange Blossom Blvd., Sebring, was sentenced to 50 days in jail for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.

The following people were booked Monday, Dec. 28 into the Highlands County Jail:

Dorothea Gray Glover, 55, of 36 Henscratch Road, Lake Placid, was sentenced to 30 days in jail for driving while license is suspended, first offense.

Salvador Merlo, 42, of 2041 N. Cardinal Road, Avon Park, on a warrant charging violation of probation in reference to driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
