The first Gallery Walk of 2010 is from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8 in downtown Sebring.
Most of the downtown stores will be open and celebrating the new year with light refreshments and specials for visitors during this second Friday event.
Brenner Pottery and Craft Gallery, located on the Circle, will exhibit all the pottery that was made at the December Gallery night.
In addition, they will have other functional and decorative works for shoppers to choose from. They are expecting some works from other artists from around the state.
The Highlands Art League will have an opening reception for their Artist of the Month, and demonstrations from some of their studio artists.
Linda Crowder, from The Children's Museum of the Highlands said, "After you tour the downtown merchants and galleries, stop by the Children's Museum and let your children burn off some energy, playing and enjoying the different exhibits. The museum will be open free to the public from 5 to 8 pm. This is your chance to stop by and play or just explore and check us out for when your grandchildren visit."
Cindy West will be one of the street artists. She works in oils, acrylics, and also paints gourds. Paul's Plantscapes will have a fresh supply of his beautiful plants for sale.
