Ridge Area Arc and Heacock Insurance Group invite the publc to Arc's Afternoon Tea on Jan 23, 2010 from 2 - 4 p.m. at the Sebring Lakeside Resort.
Finger sandwiches, pastries, assorted teas and cold drinks will be served. There will be door prizes and raffle prizes. Tickets are $30.
This year's special guest speaker will be Casey Wohl, also known as "The Getaway Girl," who is passionate about two things: her girlfriends and traveling the world. By combining these two loves, Wohl has created a unique and helpful city-specific travel guide series for women worldwide.
An author and award-winning public relations practitioner, Wohl has been featured on national, state and local television, radio, newspapers and magazines. Born and raised in Central Florida, Wohl has traveled to 19 foreign countries and has organized many girls' getaways to more than 20 different cities.
Ridge Area Arc has two of Wohl's books "Girls Getaway Guide to Orlando" and "Girls Getaway Guide to Key West" available at a special price of $10 each or both books for $15. For more information, contact Rhonda Beckman at 452-1295 Ext 112.
All proceeds benefit Ridge Area Arc, located at 120 W. College Drive, Avon Park. Arc is a non-profit charitable organization that provides opportunities for people with disabilities and is funded in part by The United Way of Central Florida.
