Authorities seek information on python's owner

»  Comments | Post a Comment

The Highlands County Animal Control is looking for information on the possible owners of a reticulated python that was caught Saturday in the area of Marshall Street in Avon Park.

The 5-foot long snake is brownish green and does not have a microchip.

"It's real tame," said Darryl Scott, animal control director. "The owner found it in the yard and called us."

This is the fifth snake animal control has caught in the last three years.

Anyone with information should call animal control at 655-6475.
