Government lies

Never in my (almost) 70 years on Earth have I seen confidence in our government sink to the record low levels we see today. Although there are many reasons for this sad situation, one clearly stands above all others; that is, we simply cannot believe much of the garbage we are being fed daily by our administration, our Congress and by many of their allies in the media.
There has never been a better example of this than the man-made global warming advocates who, if they have their way, will cause a redistribution of wealth such as none our world has ever witnessed.
Global warming advocates, are loud and there are many of them. Sadly, they have convinced many well-intentioned Americans that their global warming positions and beliefs are based upon scientific evidence, when in fact; nothing could be further from the truth. To date, zero actual scientific evidence has been produced to prove any man-made global warming theory.
In light of the enormous stakes with which they are gambling, it's time to call the hand of all global warming advocates at all levels of government, media and education. They should be told by the rest of us to "produce actual scientific evidence to back up your position or take your feel-good but baseless claims and put them where the sun never shines."
Borrowing a much over-used phrase from our president, let me make it clear that I and most other Americans want a clean and green planet as much as anyone. What we don't want to see is a lot of over-reacting in Washington that could result in counter-productive or even destructive legislation. If we don't act now, I'm afraid that is exactly what will happen in the very near future. One thing all of us can do to help stop this nonsense is send e-mails and-or make phone calls to the White House and to our senators and representatives as often as we can. Let them know in no uncertain terms that we don't want "cap and trade" in any form whatsoever.
