I was at Walmart in Avon Park on Sunday Nov. 29, buying groceries and left at approximately 4 p.m. I had polio when I was 5 years old and wear a long leg brace on my left leg and use a special cane to walk with that was made especially for my disability.
Someone took my cane while I was shopping or leaving. It is a very expensive cane made of diamond willow wood from Alaska. It has a circle of red stones with a triangle in the middle and also initials JD carved in the wood.
I would hope and pray that whoever took it would return it. You cannot imagine how it has affected me. I am totally lost and cannot walk well without the cane. To think that someone took the cane and has not turned it into Walmart is very sad. My heart is broken and I have no idea how I can ever replace the cane. I will offer a reward if you would please contact me at 385-1973.
