Buttonwood Bay schedules events

SEBRING - Gary and Shirley will be providing the music for dancing at the Saturday Night Dance from 7:30-10:30 p.m. on Dec. 12.

Cost is $4 for residents and $6 for non residents.

Noon Rotary Club to hold barbecue

SEBRING - The Sebring Noon Rotary will be having a barbecue from 9 a.m. until approximately 3 p.m. on Dec. 11 at Walgreens in South Sebring, with proceeds going to the Salvation Army.

There will be Boston butts, St. Louis racks of ribs, tubs of pork, meals and sandwiches.

Sebring Village to hold dance

SEBRING - Larry Musgrave will be performing at the Sebring Village Dance, being held from 7:30-10:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12 in the clubhouse, located one mile behind Walmart off Schumacher Road, Sebring.

Cost is $3.50 for members and $5 for non-members. Coffee and ice will be provided.

Tanglewood schedules dance

SEBRING - Tanglewood will be holding a dance from 7-10 p.m. on Dec. 12 at the clubhouse, located just north of Walmart on U.S. 27, Sebring. Music will be provided by Frank E.

Cost is $3 for residents and $5 for all others. Those planning to attend should take their own snacks and drinks; ice will be provided.

Attendees are asked to take canned goods and non perishable items to help the needy.

Groups to play Christmas music

LAKE PLACID - There will be an evening of contemporary and traditional Christmas music, featuring Caleb's Cadence and First Baptist Church Chancel Choir, at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 13 at the Lake Placid Conference Center, located at 2665 Placid View Drive.

There will also be special performances from the Wee Center and the MaxKidz Children's Ministry.

After the program, there will be cookies, coffee, cider and cocoa. There will also be an opportunity for family photos.

Lunch Club Wednesday to meet

SEBRING - Lunch Club Wednesday, a ladies networking club for career and career retired of all ages, is scheduled to meet, with doors opening at 11:30 a.m. and the program starting at 12:10 p.m. at the Sebring Elks Lodge.

There will be lunch, showcase of businesses and special events, door prizes and more.

This month, the club will honor "Good Girls" of the Lunch Club, and the "one" Good Girl Good Deed for 2009.

There are no club dues but all attendees are expected to buy lunch at $10.

The hot-cold lunch buffet is served beginning at 11:40 a.m. and ending at 12:30 p.m.

No reservations are required and the club is always open to new members.

Woman's Club hosts Christmas tea

SEBRING - The GFWC Woman's Club of Sebring will hold its annual Christmas Tea at noon on Monday, Dec. 14, located at 4260 Lakeview Drive, Sebring.

Members are asked to bring finger foods such as tea sandwiches, veggie trays, bars or cookies.

New members who have joined during the year will be honored.

Musical entertainment will be provided by the St. John's Bell Ringers. Bring an unwrapped toy for an underprivileged child, age 10 and under.

Relay for Life tournament rescheduled

SEBRING - The Hometown Justice American Cancer Relay for Life horseshoe tournament has been rescheduled for 8 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19 at the Lee Palmer Horseshoe range behind Sebring Police Department.
