»  Comments | Post a Comment

A two-vehicle accident at U.S. 27 and Valerie Boulevard just before 11 a.m. Friday injured one motorist.

Members of the West Sebring and Sun 'n Lake fire departments used the Jaws of Life to remove the driver from a Toyota Avalon. The accident appears to have happened after the car was hit by a Ford F350 pickup truck.

The victim was then loaded into an ambulance and taken from the scene. Several young men wearing Avon Park Youth Academy T-shirts were standing on the shoulder talking to rescue workers. They didn't appear to be injured.

No other information was available at press time.
